Some of OkWU’s fabulous students, Trevor Persaud and Jeff Goss have cowritten a play that will be performed to raise money for World Hope International’s work in Haiti. Please visit their website, Theater4Hope.com to learn more about the times and location of the production.
Please watch this video from the Family Research Council that features Drs. Piper, Myers, and Andrews. It gives some valuable information regarding the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and how it could affect OkWU and other Christian colleges.

We have made some changes to the Library’s website that we hope will benefit our patrons in a more successful search for information. Clicking on the Books link at the top of the page will now take you directly to the Library’s catalog, Illuminar. Please check out the new features added to this site. In addition, we have moved the NetLibrary ebooks link to the Databases page. There is also a link to NetLibrary on the Illuminar page.
Please stop by the library or call in to set up a library account. Setting up an account will allow you to log into Illuminar. Once you have logged in, there are several additional features that are not available to individuals who don’t log in. It is possible to check your library account to see when you books are due, and even renew them online. It is also possible to search the Library’s catalog of books and the databases at the same time.
The Library has recently had the opportunity to try out two new databases through our EBSCOHost subscription. They are the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) Historical Monographs Collection: Series 1 and American Theological Library Association (ATLA) Historical Monographs Collection: Series 2. These two databases are excellent sources of information on religion and theology, as well as history, including resources from the 13th Century to 1923. Please take advantage of these two great databases while they are still available. The free trial will not last for very long.
Because not every magazine or journal published is available in the OkWU databases, the Library endeavors to find access to these resources in other formats.
- Some titles are available in hard copy at the Drake Library. If you are an off campus student and need a resource housed in the Library, we can scan articles for you and send them to you via email or snail mail.
- More and more journals are beginning to provide access to customers over the Internet if that customer has purchased a hard copy subscription to the resource. We encourage you to visit the Resources page of the Library’s website and view the growing list of these electronic resources. To access these journal subscriptions, please email the Library at elib@okwu.edu for the usernames and passwords.
- If you need information from a journal that the Library does not own or have access, please contact us and let us see if we can borrow the needed article from another library. Please allow several days for delivery of such resources.
The Library Staff endeavors to help all OkWU students in their Pursuit of Truth and Practice of Wisdom. God Bless You as you continue to meet your educational goals.
If you find yourself in need of some entertainment this weekend while the weather is bad, stop by the library and pick up a good movie. We have a great variety to choose from. Here is a list of titles currently available:
